Welcome to the Palace

Antique Copeland & Garrett Late Spode Interlachen 10-1/8" Soup Bowl

PRODUCT DETAILS

This stunning 19th-century English plate features a detailed scenic transfer print of Interlachen (Interlaken, Switzerland) from the popular "Byron's Views" or Swiss Views series. The central scene shows a picturesque lakeside landscape with mountains, sailboats, figures in boats, buildings, and trees - all beautifully rendered in rich cobalt blue.

The wide rim has an ornate, raised scrolling floral and foliate border with a stippled blue ground, typical of high-quality Copeland & Garrett production.

This plate is a fantastic example of early Victorian transferware and would make a wonderful addition to any collection, or a striking decorative piece on a plate stand or wall.
